What is The Space CH?

The Space CH is a safe and welcoming hub in Crown Heights for Jewish high school–aged girls after school. We provide meaningful programs, fun activities, and supportive resources that every teen girl deserves.

Where are you located and what are your hours?

We are located at 537 Empire Blvd, Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

  • Workspace: Open Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (closed Friday).

  • Teen Lounge: Open Sunday, 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and Monday–Thursday, 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

What happens during the day?

During the daytime, The Space CH operates as a female-only dedicated workspace, giving women in the community a quiet and inspiring place to focus, create, and collaborate.

Who is the after-school teen lounge for?

Our after-school teen lounge is designed for Jewish high school–aged girls.

What type of girl is The Space CH for?

The Space CH is for Jewish high school–aged girls who want a safe, welcoming place after school. Whether she’s looking for friendship, support, inspiration, or just a cozy spot to study, every girl can feel at home here.

How often are programs offered?

There is a structured program every night, Monday through Thursday, along with special workshops and events throughout the month.

Do I need to join a program if I come?

No. Teens are welcome to simply hang out, study, or relax in the lounge. Programs are optional — you can join the activities that interest you.

What can I do at The Space CH?

You can study, meet friends, join creative workshops, participate in wellness sessions, learn Chassidus, or just enjoy a safe space to unwind after school. Light refreshments are always available, and once a week we serve pizza dinner.

Is there always staff on site?

Yes. Our team is always present to make sure The Space is safe, supportive, and welcoming for every teen and community member.

Is The Space CH free to attend?

Yes. Entry is free. Some workshops may have a small materials fee, but no teen will ever be turned away due to cost.

Do I need to register to attend programs?

Regular programs don’t require registration, but some special workshops and events may ask you to sign up in advance.

Who pays for The Space CH?

The Space CH is funded through the generous support of private donors and partners, including MASK Parents.

Can parents or community members get involved?

Yes. Parents and community members can volunteer, sponsor programs, or support us as monthly donors through our Cheerleaders program.
