About Us
Our mission is to maintain a thriving community center where every young woman and teenage girl in Crown Heights can find the solace, belonging, inspiration, and connection they are in need of.

The sad reality is that countless teenagers in Crown Heights feel alone.
These days, especially in the covid aftermath, the average teenager is struggling with peer pressure, loneliness, anxiety and more.

These teens, including the ones who don't appear to be struggling at all, are desperately seeking a place they can turn to for connection, belonging, and solace.

When a girl needs somewhere to go, but can not find the place she is in search of, she turns to numbing methods of distraction. For some girls, this can mean spending hours on the internet, or focusing on her schoolwork too intensely. For others, this could be unhealthy social media habits or toxic and unhealthy relationships.

Sadly, many of our own are numbing their desperate need for connection through easily accessible drugs, alcohols, or other life threatening addictions. This leads to many people falling victim to addiction, depression, suicide and pain.

It does not need to be this way.

The Rebbe told us clearly “If you see what needs to be repaired, and how to repair it, then you have found a piece of the world that God has left for you to complete”.

We are seeing firsthand the desperate cries of the Girls in Crown Heights. We have created a thriving community center that answers the cries of these girls, and we will not stop until we are sure that every girl in Crown Heights knows that she has The Space she needs.

Open daily with a cozy lounge, delicious snacks, library, games, and exciting after school programs, The Space gives the girls of Crown Heights the connection they are seeking. We are also connected with multiple mental health organizations, including Neshamos, who team with us to provide resources and support to our teens if they need.

Now, when a girl needs somewhere to go, she comes to The Space.

On behalf of our precious girls we serve, we thank you.
